Jim Johnson introduces the CWI body to the plan for membership. Those who have been a part of the CWI body will be grandfathered in, and new believers will go through classes, probably held prior to the services. The function is T-E-A-M: transform people by the Word of God, equip members to fulfill the call on their lives, and mobilize them to do what they have been equipped to do. The classes will focus on the foundations, righteousness, the believers’ function in the body, tithing, authority, ministry of helps, missions, etc. Jim’s teaching was on Ps. 127:1 and Ps. 133:1-3 exhorting the body to build a firm foundation of CWI on Jesus Christ, learn to function under the authority of Pastor Dale, and to live and work in unity. Using many scriptures in Acts, Jim highlighted how the church growth exploded when the people were in one accord. Dr. David Kandole also exhorted the church using Phil 2:2 and Acts 4:32-34, pointing out that there was no lack because the multitude was of one heart and one soul.
Building the CWI Foundation
Different Perspectives of Faith
Scripture text: Heb. 11:8-13, 16, 23-27, 32-12:2. Abraham received the temporal promise of the land, but he got a vision of Jesus and when he got the land, he felt like, “Is this it?” He eventually looked up and was looking for another city. There is an eternal (vertical) perspective and a temporal (horizontal) perspective to faith. Which one is primary and which one is secondary in your life? We are to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. We can receive prosperity, not by seeking it, but through faithfulness, communion with God, giving Him our hearts. The great men of faith saw suffering as of greater worth than earthly gain. Some faith heroes did great things. Some suffered greatly, but did not accomplish anything. The currency of heaven is faith, not accomplishment. Strive to be like Christ. How do you see Jesus? This is a time of war to establish the will of God on earth.
Authority Over Evil Spirits
In Mark 1:22 the people were astonished at Jesus’ doctrine or teaching because He taught them about and with authority, which He then demonstrated by commanding evil spirits to leave. You have the authority to command, if you are under God’s authority. The command of authority is not praying, laying on of hands, anointing, or the prayer of agreement. Listen as Pastor Dale relates his experience of casting out devils in a 12 year old boy. At the end, the now young man who was delivered of the demons stood up and told of his agreement with Satan that opened the door for the demonic to work in his life and his freedom through Jesus Christ. Fear is a spirit. Get rid of it! Command your body to function correctly. Speak to the object, to the problem. To not use your authority is negligence.
A Step At a Time
Glenn continues to tell the testimony of God’s goodness as he went from working for the Allentown State Hospital to Manheim where he had a studio in his basement and worked for Graybill’s Dairy. Then he started slide shows with music, and after displaying his artwork at the Manheim farm show, he had so many orders to do painting of farms that eventually he had to quit his dairy job. He kept increasing projectors for the slide shows and went over the country and into Canada with it. The Lord asked him if he wanted to live like that for the rest of his life? The change was to have the people come to the show instead. Thirty thousand people came to LBC during 10 weeks to see his slide shows with 15 projectors. Then he bought 3 acres for Living Waters. At the same time he was preaching and leading his church, doing portraits, wedding pictures, and slide shows. He shares the miracles God did financially in each step. He left the pastorate and after two men gave him confirmation, he bought the 55 acres that Sight and Sound are on. He tells of a miracle of finding an “ocean” of water for the entertainment center, getting inspiration for Noah at the farm show, and the financial miracle that followed the devastating fire of the first Sight and Sound building. His wife, Shirley, reminded him that it was their calling, not just a ministry or a business, so they rebuilt. The day after she said that, he drew the plans for the Millennium Theater. Everything in his life is a testimony of God taking him a step higher.
How to Get Beyond Broken Dreams
At the end of his life, King Saul said he played the fool. At the end of Apostle Paul’s life, he said he had finished the course and wanted to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and become like Him in death. How do you get beyond broken dreams? They lead to disappointment, the discouragement, then being distraught, then destruction, and depression, and then despair. Glenn tells how he loved nature, his parents encouraged his gift in art, and his father was a wonderful storyteller. He shares how God took him from being a dairy farmer, to a broken dream, to a new dream of marriage and serving in Allentown State Hospital on their dairy farm, to doing paintings in the afternoons when he was not working, to selling his paintings by the truckloads, to buying a camera and becoming a photographer. Do not despise the day of small beginnings.
Questions For the Leaders Panel
Listen to questions written by the audience and the answers given by the panel, hosted by Pastor Dale Armstrong. What 5 books have impacted your life the most? Why do we get lots of ideas, but the man with the idea cannot make it happen? PDAC (Plan, do, check, adjust). What tools have you used to stay focused on your way with God? How do we plan for the future? How do you know what to focus on? Can someone’s life vision be to help someone else’s vision? What are good tips to give to an emerging leader?
Roadmap To a Successful Destiny
The roadmap to a successful destiny is Mark 11:22-24. Have faith in God. Tell your mountain where to go. Have absolute confidence in victory. Your spoken words have power, and you will have what you say. Be specific in what you say. Ask in prayer. Believe and write down your goal, and take personal responsibility. Where have you quit? Dr. Seuss was rejected by 22 publishers.
Choose To or Have To
Dogs love steaks, but they will settle for bones. Where is the steak in your life? Choose to, rather than have to. Conformity is your enemy. Take authority over your life. Ed tells the story of a trip to a gold mine and the lessons he learned there. Be diligent. Find the gold dust in what you are doing. Be a support to those in the harvest field. Support someone to replace you. Create a solution. You have to let go to get the gold. Release it to God. Practice NOT condemning, complaining, or criticizing for seven days. Be a gate-keeper: the ear gate, eye gate, the spoken word gate, association gate, and the environment gate. Who do you associate with? Are you in a dead church? Pre-play your vision. Do you have a scarcity or abundance context of life? Convergence- focus on one thing and get rid of distractions. Congruence- Are you congruent with your destiny? Get rid of “pop-ups”. Be a laser and get rid of the grumpy, critical, condemning, and complaining. Be a believer first.
Dominant Visions, Images and Thoughts
Your life will always move into the dominant visions, images, and thoughts that you have. Advertizing is based on fear, so you will buy something. Relationships greatly impact your life. There are others you need to connect with who have the keys for your life. Your life is defined by your friends. God cannot get some things to us, because we are envious of something in another person. Honor that quality, but do not be envious of it. Do not stay where you are if God tells you to change. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Do not identify with your sin. God is for us, not against us.
How To Get a New Groove In Your Brain
Take notes from what you hear and read. You must do what everybody else is trying to avoid. You have to tell your brain to do what it needs to do and to obey you. Transformation technology: God does not want to improve us. He wants to transform us. He is calling us to live a supernatural life. If you see the kingdom of God, you do not care about the cost. Seek what God has for you all day. Take care of your basics- love, God, marriage, family, work. Knowledge is “out of the rut” and does not transform you. We need spiritual transformation. Those who know how to, will get a job. Those who know why will be the boss. Lay up treasures in heaven.
Vision and Purpose
Ps. 139:1-14. The darkest times are when you are satisfied, have no vision or purpose. DO NOT BE SATISFIED! Discoveryour gift. Develop your gift. Deliver the gift for the glory of God. Determine not to let the devil get it. Do not let the devil kill, steal, or destroy. Knowing God is intimacy that brings conception. Glenn shares that after much prayer and time with the Holy Spirit, he becomes pregnant with a show. There is movement, it gets bigger, and more is brought into it, such as music and costumes. When the birth is about to take place is when Satan hits. Immediately after the show begins, he must seek the next vision. Set your mind on things above. Your mind is the spiritual womb. Your brain carries out the goals to your body. It is the master control of your body. Think heavenly ideals in your mind. Get the mind of the Spirit. How do you renew your mind? 1) Believing and doing the Word of God. 2) Inspiration by God, nature, the Word. 3) Receivingrevelation. 4) Illumination through the Word. The Holy Spirit is like a power line transformer. He distributes the power so we can handle it.
Your Inheritance Is a Gift
A competing commitment is a commitment that competes and undermines your true commitment. Examples are: rejection, looking good, fear of man, and fear of failure. Commit to the destiny God has for you and accept your inheritance- you are a new creation, an overcomer, and strong in the Lord. Commit to read the book of Acts.
How Rich Do You Think You Really Are
If you make $50,000 a year, you are in the top 1% of the world’s population. Develop your gifts. Change is not easy and is painful. If you have a habit, it develops a rut in your brain, and you keep slipping right into it when making the same decisions. DO NOT BE SATISFIED THAT GOD’S WORD IS NOT WORKING IN YOUR LIFE. The Word must find faith in our hearts. God wants to rewire you, but in our lower level thinking, He cannot. HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO SUCCEED?
Three Stories
1) The parable of the talents in modern terms. 2) Village boy in Ukraine who goes from having no money to selling fruit, to buying a car, to becoming a taxi driver, to buying a second car and becoming an employer. If you cannot do what you like to do, like what you can do. 3) Man whose wife needed $60,000/year cancer treatments to live. He only made $50,000/year, yet he worked to pay for her treatments for the nine years that she lived. What is in your hand?
The Authority of The Believer
God wants us to understand and use the authority He has given us as believers. When God calls someone, He gives them the authority to carry out that call. Everything must submit to God’s authority. When we move in His authority, it does not leave people the way they are, but it changes them. Know your authority over sickness, disease, and demons. We have heavenly authority, so we do not need to fear. Authority is tied up with faith and released with your mouth. Do not walk around as if you are defeated. Christ has defeated the enemy on your behalf.
God’s Authority and The Man of God
Ray Hurst and Warren Thomas shared their testimonies early in the service. Pastor Bob, Pastor Dale, and Pat Denlinger gave words. Pastor Dale stated what the Lord told him: If you thank Me for what I did in the past (a specific miracle), I will do it again. Pastor Dale preached on God’s authority. Order comes before increase. God is stitching the body tighter together. The good shepherd (pastor) gives his life for the sheep; he is a servant of God, not man. Pastor Dale told of a missionary who would not submit to the spiritual authority in the man of God over him, and how to cost him his life. How does God use authority? He uses it to fix the abuse of authority and to bless. (Ps. 2:1-3) Where does authority come from? It comes from relationship. To whom do we submit? We submit to the Word of God, to our elders, and to the anointing. Don’t confuse the anointing with talent. The “head” is the source of supply, and the anointing comes from the “head” down.
Back To The Hand of God
Keith and Mary Hudson speak prophetically about the time we are in. God is sending His hand back to the church to deliver the church out of the hands of man and back to God. In I Chron. 21:13 King David said that he would rather fall into the hand of God than the hand of man. God is releasing a wholeness anointing. Put everything into the hand of God. Keith and Mary ministered prophetically to many people in the congregation.
Seeing Revelation
Keith and Mary Hudson are from Oceanside, California. They ministered the Word and the prophetic. They released an anointing for God to open our eyes so that we can see through the eyes of the Master. Instead of information, we are at a time when we need revelation, the seer anointing. An anointing was released for businesses and finances. Confirming prophetic words were given to many people of all ages in the congregation.
We Are Partakers of His Grace
Using Mark 6:1-4, Dr. Kandole exhorts CWI to honor, pray for protection, obey, and come under vision of the man of God, Apostle and Pastor Dale Armstrong, and to partake in the same grace that God has given him. We need to show our appreciation for the gift of God. Receive him as the man of God, remember his labor and sacrifice and pray for him, refresh him and his family, respect him as father and builder of the body, reassure him of your love for him and his family, and run with his vision. Pastor gave a demonstration of the apostolic ministry and then there was a time of ministry.
Corporate Faith for Corporate Anointing to Fulfill Our Corporate Destiny
Dr. Kandole shares what happened during his time in Portugal and Kenya. He charged us with working together under Apostle/Pastor Dale’s vision. We will see the miraculous, like in Mark 2:1 with the paralytic man, when we use our callings and abilities under the faith and vision of the man of God. Honor the man of God; he is NOT a hired man. When we honor and receive the apostle, pastor, teacher, evangelist, and prophet, then the people will be perfected. If we do not, then we short-circuit the miraculous. There are lots of preachers, but few men of God. Even Jesus could not do mighty works because He was not honored in His hometown. Once your leader has heard from God, you do not need a confirmation. (He also ministered a Word from the Lord for Ethan Armstrong.)
