Why we need to strive for more power. Launch into the deep, don’t be ashamed of the power of the gospel. Key, strong prayer life and fellowship with Jesus and believers. Dale shares personal testimonies of the power of God.
The Gospel Is the Power of God Part 1
The Gospel Is the Power of God Part 2
Did you know that receiving the “power” of God is separate from receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Using scripture texts of Romans 1:16, Acts 10:38, Luke 24:29, and Isaiah 40:28-31, Pastor Dale explains that we need the power of God as well as the Holy Spirit. He also gives examples of receiving God’s power through prayer and waiting on Him (serving Him).
The Gospel Is the Power of God Part 3
Where the gospel is, the power of God is there. Receiving is easy. God wants to use us to minister. To win involves conflict. The process to power. Everyone’s has a part and a job to do.
Integrity
Pastor Bill Hake from Abundant Life Church in York, PA preaches from Ps. 26 about integrity, the integrity of a person that reflects that they live by what they say and believe. When we live a life of integrity, we welcome the scrutiny and examination of our heart by other people and God. How do we live our lives? Who are our friends? Do you know your relationships are assigned to you to do the Father’s will? We need to be faithful and live a life of integrity that glorifies God.
Don’t be ashamed of the Gospel
Using Romans 1:16 and I Thessalonions 1:5, Pastor Dale teaches us that God is a good God, He’s for us, and He wants to reward us. We need not to be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, because it is the power in our lives to overcome sin and to get us on track. The Gospel we live by brings change and joy. We don’t need to be afraid of the will of God. In order to have victory, we must have battles. Our conflicts will cause us to rise above them and cause us to achieve. We need power to be bold.
Victory for All
Luke 24: God has supernatural power. There is a place where the spiritual meets the natural. Some people need to see the power of God when He makes Himself known. Pastor Dale tells about a Russian theater manager who was healed by God’s miraculous power through a word of knowledge. Miracles and signs and wonders are often for a purpose.
Grieve Not the Spirit
Texts: Eph. 4:29 and I Thess. 5:16. The Holy Spirit has a sensitive nature. It doesn’t take much to grieve or quench Him, nor to welcome Him. We grieve the Spirit when we suppress and try to control the ministry gifts and the Holy Spirit in someone. We must yield to the Spirit, because He wants to use us. We shouldn’t be afraid of the supernatural, nor allow the fear of failure to keep us in bondage. We stay in the Spirit and move in the Spirit by the hearing of faith (Gal. 3:2). Move on, not allowing the hurts of life to keep us from flowing in the Spirit.
The Testimony of Jesus
I Cor. 12 is the text for this sermon on the vocal gifts of the Spirit. John 16:13 also helps us understand the importance of the guiding of the Holy Spirit, so that Jesus is glorified. Jesus lives in us, and we have God’s anointing in us, which will teach us. (I John 2:20-27)
Gifts of the Spirit
Listen to this sermon to hear the difference between the gifts of the Spirit, the administrations, and the operations of the Spirit found in I Cor. 12. Everything God has for you, He wants to minister through you. The manifestation of the Spirit will profit you. Giving, praying, and fasting will bring a manifestation and open up the realm of the Spirit to you.
The Manifestation of the Spirit
Are we all to move in the Spirit? According to I Cor. 12:7 “the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.” The manifestation of the Spirit can save your life and bring profit to you in many ways. Listen as Pastor Dale teaches on moving in the gifts of the Spirit, compassion and love, and desiring the gifts in your life.
Doctrine of the Human Spirit
We are a spirit living in a body and having a soul. One of those three parts can overpower the other parts. Your spirit is your “real you” and was designed to control you. Your mind is to assist the Spirit in you, but God speaks to your spirit. Read Heb. 4:12, Matt. 15:19, Romans 8:13-14, and Prov. 20:27.
The Deep Things of God
Did you know that the Holy Spirit’s presence is better than when Jesus lived on the earth? Read John 16:7. The plan of God is hidden for you. The wisdom of God is by His Spirit, because the Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God. Since the Spirit is in your heart, so is the wisdom of God. Pray in tongues to get God’s plan for you.
Gifts of the Spirit Defined
Listen how a person can hinder or cooperate with the gifts of the Spirit. Think how Peter changed after being baptized and endued with power from the Holy Spirit. Pastor Dale tells about an experience when he missed “it” by not giving an interpretation to a tongue. God will bless you when you are in the place He wants you, and then He will trust you with the gifts of the Spirit.
God’s Gifts and His Grace
It’s always God’s will for people to be healed. Jesus even ministered to the people who were offended by Him. He taught them when they had unbelief, so that they could believe.
Unity is Not Conformity
Expounding on “Unity is not conformity and diversity is not division”, Pastor Dale uses examples of how God works the gifts differently in the Body.
Purpose of the Gifts
He preaches that the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all. The five-fold ministry, miracles, gifts of healings, helps, administrations, and varieties of tongues are to equip the Body in the ministry of reconciliation, to do the works of Jesus and even greater ones, and to have dominion over what God has made. Each one of us is to have dominion over his or her own body and not be conformed to this world.
Your Destiny
Starting with Ephesians 2:6-10, Christopher preaches on seven (7) points to walking out our destiny.
Love and the Gifts
Covet the best gifts, which is whatever gift you need. Love of God is more excellent than coveting the gifts of the Spirit (I Cor. 12:31). Whatever we do to serve, we do because we love Jesus. It’s the love of Jesus that will compel you to pray. Serve because you love God.
Desperation for God
Jerry Horst encourages us to push past our faith, making ourselves vulnerable and available. We need to be passionate and desperate for the Lord!
Crisis
“Crisis: The Springboard to Miracles” establishes the truth that when we are in a crisis, we are in a position for Jesus Christ to do a miracle, if we can believe.
Pool of Bethesda
Satan and religion fight a move of God. We need to protect the gifts of the Spirit and keeps ourselves from pride by running from fame just as Jesus did.
The Word of Faith Part 1
Believing goes with confessing, making our confession and our words very powerful. Confess the Word for what you need and turn that Word into praise. Pastor Dale shares how, even though he was saved, he still had depression and nightmares. Also, he encourages you to not add to God’s grace.
Power of Intercessory Prayer
What can change situations and save lives? Pastor Dale teaches that God looks for people to pray, and shares how his disobedience to a call for intercessory prayer cost him and a young man- a broken arm for him and the death of the young man. Find out about intercessory prayer and its absolute importance.
Staggering Promises
Pastor Dale teaches about “Staggering Promises” using he Parable of the Sower and the Seed. Focus on abiding in Christ rather than on fighting the devil.
Where Faith Begins
Pastor Dale uses Romans 10:6 to explain that righteousness of faith speaks. Righteousness is being fully united in God’s purposes. Go by faith from sin consciousness to righteous consciousness. Pastor Dale gave a strong word about depression being selfishness.
Faith and Desire
Continuing to use Romans 10:6, Pastor Dale develops the truth that the trial of your faith produces patience, meaning that you stay the same under every circumstance. Using dating, moving to engagement, and then marriage, he compares faith to going where there’s a point of no return.
Experiencing Jesus
He teaches us to lay hold of God’s heart. Our hunger for God and our believing Jesus will change our behavior and cause us to do greater things and to tell others. There’s a warning, too: Don’t allow offenses toward God or others to direct you! Celebrate what God has done!
Touch the Leper
Dr. Nevers Mumba, former Vice-President of the country of Zambia. Dr. Mumba urges believers to go where Jesus went- to the weak, the poor, and the untouchables and to live our lives for others. If someone has faith for the nations, don’t get in their way.
Vision and Interview
Speaking on vision, he stressed that the vision for a body of believers must be preached so that they get the same vision. He also shares effective ways to reach the sinner. Brother Ralph uses aspects from Disneyland to describe the church: Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland.
Now Faith
He teaches on now faith for fishing, for finances, and for fullness. Don’t limit God!
How to Know God’s Will
Listen as seasoned preacher and speaker, Ralph Wilkerson, talks about using now faith to do God’s will. Did you know that receiving the power of God is separate from receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Using scripture texts of Romans 1:16, Acts 10:38, Luke 24:29, and Isaiah 40:28-31, Pastor Dale Armstrong explains that we need the power of God as well as the Holy Spirit. He also gives examples of receiving God’s power through prayer and waiting on Him (serving Him). Sermon title: The Gospel is the Power of God Part 1″.
Holy Communion
I Cor. 11:23-33; Paul wasn’t at the Passover meal with the other disciples, but he still said that he received the directive for communion from the Lord, because it was given to him by divine revelation. Communion is very special, holy, miraculous, beautiful. Even though Jesus fully knew the meaning of what He was doing at the Lord’s Supper and the disciples didn’t, He gave thanks to God that He could offer Himself. The blood is for the forgiveness for the remission of sins. The breaking of the bread represents the stripes on His body for our bodies’ healing. Weakness, sickness, and premature death may be caused by not discerning the Lord’s body. Examine your heart making sure there is no unrepented sin in your life and that you are rightly discern the Lord’s body.
