Our Vision

We exist to expand God’s kingdom, transform lives,
equip believers, and mobilize the Church to fulfill His divine purpose on earth.

Our Mission

Fueled by our love for God and His calling, we fulfill the Great Commission through weekly Spirit-led gatherings, prayer, teaching, worship, home groups, outreach, church planting, and the global expansion of God’s kingdom.

T. E. A. M.

We embrace the T.E.A.M. model to fulfill our mission.

Transform

We are called to transform lives through:

  • The anointed ministry of God’s Word
  • The power of the Holy Spirit
  • A growing faith that brings total victory in every area of life

Equip

God equips us through the Body of Christ—our church family—creating an environment where we grow and fulfill His will. We receive training through:

  • Support and encouragement of the church community
  • Teaching and guidance of spiritual leaders
  • Activation of our gifts through service
  • Receiving from all five of the ministry gifts (Ephesians 4:11-13) to be complete in Christ Jesus

Accountable

As a church family, we are committed to accountability:

  • To God’s written Word
  • To the leading of the Holy Spirit, both corporately and individually
  • Through discipleship and spiritual leadership

Mobilize

We refuse to stand still—every believer is called and empowered to make an impact in the local church and beyond.

  • The law of the Spirit of Life compels us to minister.
  • God has placed a vision in our hearts that unites us.
  • We are rising to the challenge and stepping into our God-given purpose.

Statement of Faith

Our Core Beliefs and Theological Principles

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the foundation of our faith. There is one true God—revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who calls all people to salvation through Jesus Christ alone. As His Church, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live in righteousness, share the Good News, walk in His promises, and continue the ministry of Jesus.

Our History

Our Journey: Apostle Dale Armstrong

It all began in 2006. On May 28th, my wife Teri and I joined three other couples in a home in Lancaster, PA to pray. The Holy Spirit moved so powerfully in that small gathering that I told our host, “something was born in the Spirit tonight.” We all decided to meet again the following Sunday night for another prayer session. The next week, dozens more attended, and we continued to pray and seek the Lord’s presence. I was amazed at how the word spread and how many eager hearts came. In no time, we had outgrown a large home. Following the Lord’s guidance, we held our first service the next week, on June 11, with over a hundred people present. The weeks that followed were crucial to everything the Lord has accomplished and is still doing through Church of the Word. I encourage you to enjoy these messages, as vital now as they were then: The Gospel is the Power of God, part one, The Gospel is the Power of God, part two, The Gospel is the Power of God, part three.
