Welcome to
CWI’s Children’s Ministry
Our teams of dedicated volunteers provide a time where children can hear God’s Word and grow in their relationship with Him and each other!
Our Nursery staff cares for children ages birth through age 2, meeting their needs and showing God’s Love to them.
In Preschool ages 3 to 5, we keep them moving! God’s Word is full of life and guides them even when they are little!
Our Elementary Class, Kindergarten through 2nd grade, finds teachers who encourage them to memorize Bible verses, find scripture verses in their Bible and challenge them to continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus!
Our Juniors Class, grades 3-5, can be found strengthening friendships with one another and talking about God’s Word and how they can apply it in their daily life. It is exciting to watch God’s Word at work in their lives!
Children will have occasional opportunities to share songs, scriptures, or things learned in class with the church at a church services such as Christmas or other special times.
We also have an annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) in the summer for 4 evenings, where children participate in worship, are taught the Word of God, play group games, make crafts and have an opportunity to be baptized at the conclusion of the VBS.

Children’s Ministry Director
Kelly Burrows
Kelly has been the Children’s Ministry Director at Church of the Word Lancaster for the past few years, and has always had a heart for children. She has much experience in teaching and ministering to children, as she has been in the education field for 18 years, with the past 5 years in Christian Education. Currently, she is the Principal of a local Christian School.
Kelly is passionate about sowing into the lives of the next generation. She has written and directed our annual Vacation Bible School for over 10 years, where many children have come to hear truth from the Word of God and salvations have taken place.
Recently, Kelly went back to flight school, to become a pilot to eventually help with flying for ministry and church planting!
