Prayer is making a request and being committed to see it through, but it must be something you can believe for. A personal prayer life is the source of power in your life. Pastor Dale teaches on Luke 11:9-10 (ask, seek, knock) and Mark 11:24.

Pastor Dale lays the foundation of prayer: Pray to the Father. Use the name of Jesus. Pray in the Spirit. Pray scriptural prayers from the Word of God. Prayer is designed to get an answer. Our love-relationship with God leads to our asking Him to do things for us that He has promised and provided.

Expecting and receiving answers to your prayers gives you joy. We can have faith to believe our prayers will be answered if we ask (pray to) God according to His will in the name of Jesus. (Matt. 6:6, 7:7-11, 18:19; John 16:23, 24; John 14:12; John 15:7)

When doesn’t God hear us? He has a heart of compassion and wants to give. Could unforgiveness affect God’s hearing us? A pure heart is necessary to be heard by God. Deal with offenses in order to be in fellowship with God. Look in your heart!

Our human heart needs to be checked, because iniquity, sin, and hardness in our hearts will take away our confidence in prayer. What’s the treatment for our “heart problems”?
